Tax Analyst - 2350

You will perform the following functions in this key role:

  • Conduct moderately complex tax compliance activities. 
  • Responsibilities include the preparation of federal and state income tax returns, various other tax filings, responding to tax questions from other departments, and compliance related research activities.
  • Prepare federal pro forma income tax returns and state apportionment workpapers.
  • Prepare multi-state income/franchise tax returns on a stand-alone and combined basis.
  • Prepare federal and state quarterly estimates and extensions.
  • Prepare miscellaneous filings including (annual reports, personal property, etc.) and respond to various notices.
  • Prepare monthly transfer pricing adjustments.
  • Monitor self-assessment procedures.
  • Work on initiatives with people from other departments on cross company issues.
  • Prepare unclaimed property reports and monitor unclaimed property procedures.
  • Prepare current and deferred income tax schedules annual and semi-annual income tax provision workpapers.
  • Responsible for CorpTax administration.
  • Assist with payroll tax issues.
  • Perform tax research and write memos related to tax compliance activities.
  • Assist with preparing responses to Internal Revenue Service and State tax audits.
  • Prepare responses to state income tax notices.
You must possess the following requirements and experience to succeed in this position:

  • Bachelor of Science in Accounting.
  • MS In Taxation or Accounting desired.
  • Two to Five years of tax accounting and analysis experience.
  • Experience with tax compliance software and general ledger packages.
  • Certified Public Accountant and Master of Science in Taxation is desired/or an interest in their pursuit.
  • Experience with CORPTax and SAP is desired.  
  • Ability to communicate ideas and data, both verbally and written, in a persuasive and appropriate manner.
  • Understand basic accounting concepts and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Ability to identify problems and provide specific solutions that resolve the problem
  • Ability to analyze a wide variety of data in order to make informed decisions
  • Ability to organize work products in an orderly and efficient manner.
