February 06, 2012 Federal Tax Manager - 2370 Responsible for assisting in developing actual and forecasted income tax provision and deferred tax liability balances for Companys’ domestic businesses. Prepare tax provision and balance sheet tax accounts variance analyses. Assist in preparation of selected portions of the Consolidated Federal Income Tax Return. Perform maintenance of the deferred tax inventory system. Assists in the preparation of complex portions of the Consolidated Federal Income Tax Return and quarterly estimates. Gathers information regarding permanent and temporary differences used in calculating actual and forecasted income tax provisions and year-end deferred tax balances. Identify and quantify items that explain deferred tax provision and balance sheet variances between reporting quarters pursuant to Company Financial Reporting requirements. Assists in developing documentation in support of Sarbanes Oxley Section 404 (SOX) certification requirements and in implementing any required changes in procedures. Maintain documentation of SOX compliance. Performs assigned technical research and special projects as needed to respond to business requests for Tax support. Proven knowledge of accounting principals and proven ability to apply federal tax laws. Working knowledge of tax computer systems. A CPA and Masters in Taxation are preferred. Must have effective oral and written communication skills; excellent analytical and technical skills. Well-developed interpersonal skills required to communicate effectively with people at many levels throughout the organization. This especially includes the ability to work with immediate tax colleagues as a team member and foster team spirit. Computer skills must include Microsoft Excel and Word. A working knowledge of Corptax or similar tax software is a plus |
